Here at the foot of Matterhorn you find Cervino Golf Club. A fantastic 18-hole golf course nestled in the mountain landscape. The course is a par 69, 5300 meters long, open from the end of May until the end of September. The course is undulated and quite demanding. Especially on a windy day. On an altitude of 2050 meters this course is one of the highest in Europe. Find out for yourself how much further you hit the ball at this altitude!
If you are into Freeride, downhill biking, cross country cycling – this is the place for you. Discover some of the many challenging trails in Cervinia and Valtournenche. Find trails with spectacular views in this high mountain area, starting at an altitude of 3480 m. Trails in the forest or following the old railway line. Why not have some fun trying out the drops, parabolic curves and variants on the intermediate level trails.
Matterhorn or Mount Cervino as it´s called on the Italian side, is always present in this landscape. Rising up towards the sky with it´s almost perfect pyramid shape. With the sun shining on the top. Matterhorn is 4478 meters high with the south side facing Italy and the north side facing Switzerland. From the Cervinia side you can do the climb in two days, staying overnight on the way up in the Carrel hut at 3836 meters. Matterhorn is one of the hardest mountains in the Alps to climb. So you have to be a trained climber in good condition to follow the Alpine Guides up to the top.

There are several hiking trails from easy walks to harder trips. Cervinia to Lac de Goillet and back is an easy and beautiful trail. Another fantastic trail is Cervinia-Zermatt, where the route makes a steep way up to the Teodoluspass. A moderate trail but challenging because of the vertical increase. If you want to try some harder routes, there are several trails around Matterhorn. Stay in a mountain hut and continue the next day.
How about skiing on the Plateau Rosà Glacier in the morning and go golfing in the afternoon? In the middle of the summer. This is the place were that can be done. On the Glacier at 3480 meters you have 23 km of ski slopes where the snow remains during summer. From the end of June until the end of August this is the perfect place for passionate skiers and snowboarders.
Take the cable car to visit the highest ice caves in Europe. The Cervinio Alpine Guides will take you along the glacier from Plateau Rosà. You enter the caves through a 50 meter tunnel, 15 meters under the surface. Inside the caves a fantastic landscape all in ice opens up before your eyes.
